Corinth, AL Weather Warnings FLOOD WATCH Issue Date: 1013 AM CDT Sun Mar 26 2023 ...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flash flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible. * WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties, Autauga, Bibb, Calhoun, Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Cleburne, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Lee, Lowndes, Macon, Marengo, Montgomery, Perry, Pickens, Randolph, Shelby, St. Clair, Sumter, Talladega, Tallapoosa and Tuscaloosa. * WHEN...Through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action should Flash Flood Warnings be issued. && SHORTTERM FORECAST Issue Date: 902 AM CDT Sun Mar 26 2023 ...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1115 AM CDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of central Alabama, including the following counties, Autauga, Bibb, Chambers, Chilton, Clay, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Greene, Hale, Marengo, Perry, Randolph, Sumter and Tallapoosa. * WHEN...Until 1115 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 902 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Severe storms are possible through tonight, with several rounds of storms possible. Primary threats include large hail, damaging winds up to 60 mph, and localized flash flooding. A couple tornadoes are possible, beginning this afternoon, across the southern half of Central Alabama. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. The potential for severe storms will continue through early Monday morning, possibly as late as 8am, for locations south of I-85. Threats include large hail, damaging winds up to 60 mph, isolated flash flooding, and a couple tornadoes. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
