High, IA Weather Warnings Issue Date: 356 AM CDT Sat Sep 23 2023 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri. .DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT Thunderstorms are expected to move into eastern Iowa and northeast Missouri this evening and eventually weaken as they move closer to the Mississippi River into the overnight. Some of the strongest storms could become severe with damaging winds to 60 mph and large hail to size of quarters. The best threat area for severe storms is west of a line from Cedar Rapids, IA to Keokuk, IA. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...SUNDAY THROUGH FRIDAY Thunderstorms are possible again on Sunday across most of the area. Some of these storms could become strong with gusty winds. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed late this afternoon into the later evening.
