This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of North Central
Illinois...Northeast Illinois and Northwest Indiana.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

Elevated Thunderstorm Risk...with an associated:
Limited hail risk...up to 1 inch in diameter.
Limited damaging wind risk...up to 70 mph.
Elevated Flooding Risk.

DISCUSSION...

There is a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon, especially
north of I-80. If storms occur this afternoon, there would be some
limited risk for some of the storms to become severe. The threat
of severe weather appears a bit higher, albeit still limited,
tonight, especially after midnight and north of I-88 and I-290.

In addition, there is a chance of very heavy rainfall and possible
flash flooding tonight, mainly after midnight and north of I-88
and I-290.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.

Tuesday...
Limited Severe Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Flooding Risk.
Significant Excessive Heat Risk.
Wednesday and Thursday...
Elevated Thunderstorm Risk.
Limited Excessive Heat Risk.
Friday...
Limited Thunderstorm Risk.

DISCUSSION:

Dangerous heat indices of 105 to 110 degrees are likely Tuesday
afternoon.

Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are possible Tuesday
through Friday. Any one of these bouts of thunderstorms could
result in a risk of severe thunderstorms and the potential for
localized flash flooding.

Spotters may be needed late this afternoon and tonight.

GENERAL STORM MOTION OF THE DAY:

Moving toward the east at around 20 mph.
