This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest North
Carolina...east Tennessee and southwest Virginia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Patchy areas of dense fog early this morning reducing visibilities
to one-quarter mile or less. Fog will dissipate by mid-morning.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday

...Isolated Severe storms possible Tuesday through Thursday with
increasing coverage of Thunderstorms for Friday and Saturday...

Scattered thunderstorms are expected Tuesday through Thursday,
mainly during the afternoon and early evening hours, with the
greatest coverage across the higher elevations. Isolated strong to
severe storms are possible each day with the main concern being
damaging winds, localized flash flooding, small hail and frequent
lightning.

Increasing coverage of storms are anticipated for Friday afternoon
and evening and Saturday.

At this time, spotter activation is not expected.

...Patchy Dense Fog This Morning...

Recent satellite and surface observations show patchy fog
developing across the region. Some areas of fog may become locally
dense with visibility dropping to one-quarter mile or less. Take
caution and give yourself extra time for your morning commute as
sharp drops in visibility may occur. At freeway speeds, you only
have a few seconds to react to objects that become visible in the
road.
