This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...Tonight. Thunderstorms with Dangerous Lightning. RISK...Limited. AREA...Southeast Oklahoma and West Central Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... A chance of showers and thunderstorms will remain possible into the overnight hours tonight as a weak cold front slowly moves southeast through the region. Additional severe weather is not currently anticipated tonight. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Activation of the Regional Spotter Network Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. MONDAY thru WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. THURSDAY...High Wind Potential. FRIDAY and SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Low thunderstorm chances will return late Monday night and Tuesday morning as a warm front lifts north across the area. A cold front will move into the area Friday, bringing another chance of thunderstorms. .NOW... At 9:45 PM, National Weather Service radars continued to detect thunderstorms and rainshowers over far southeast Oklahoma as well as a small portion of east central Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Movement was to the southeast at 30 miles an hour. Through midnight, thunderstorms and rainshowers will continue to push southeast across the Red river and into southwest Arkansas. A few of the strongest storms will produce dime size hail and winds to 50 miles an hour, intense rainfall, and dangerous cloud to ground lightning.
