EXTENDED DISCUSSION...
Showers and isolated storms will linger into Wednesday morning
across southeast Oklahoma and west-central Arkansas. Severe
weather is not expected with these storms. Showers may continue
across these same areas into the afternoon and evening hours as a
weak disturbance moves through the region.
Friday will give us our next best chance of rain outside of today
as a strong upper system and cold front approach the area. A few
thunderstorms will be possible through the day Friday. The best
chances for storms will tend to be along and south of interstate
40. Rain will likely linger into the overnight hours Friday night
before exiting the area Saturday morning.
Much colder than normal temperatures are expected Sunday and
Monday mornings with Monday being the colder of the two. There is
a non zero chance that a frost or light freeze will occur across
parts of the area. If you have sensitive vegetation continue to
monitor the latest forecasts and be prepared to protect those plants
from the cold.
