WEATHER ALERT
Issue Date: 337 AM CDT Sun May 22 2022
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.
.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight
Showers and thunderstorms will remain possible this morning across
central to southern Arkansas. Some additional locally heavy
rainfall will be the primary threat with the strongest storms.
Otherwise...the threat for hazardous weather will become low by
this afternoon as drier air moves into the state.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday Through Saturday
The main focus will be on the potential for heavy rain Tuesday and
Wednesday. The forecast calls for three to more than five inches of
rain, with the highest amounts in southwest sections of the state.
Given this much rain, flash flooding and rises on area rivers are
becoming more likely. This could be a significant high water event
in parts of the state, so Arkansans are advised to continue
monitoring this developing situation.
.Spotter Information Statement...
Spotter activation will not be needed.
