This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight
Widely scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms will be
possible this afternoon across north central and northeast
Arkansas. While some brief heavy rain can not be discounted,
widespread hazardous weather is not anticipated .
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday Through Wednesday
Showers and thunderstorms will become widespread Saturday into
Sunday, followed by much cooler air and below average temperatures
through Monday. Another round of storms is expected Tuesday into
Wednesday.
While spotty severe weather is possible this weekend and early next
week, the main concern will be areas of heavy rain. The forecast
calls for two to four inch amounts across much of the region through
Wednesday, and there could be locally more. Flash flooding may occur
in places, and tributaries such as the Black, Cache, Ouachita, and
lower White Rivers will likely remain elevated.
