...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 245 AM PDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of northern California, including the following counties, Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara. * WHEN...Until 245 AM PDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 934 PM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.8 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.1 to 0.3 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Fremont, Hayward, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Daly City, San Mateo, San Leandro, Redwood City, Mountain View, Alameda, Union City, Milpitas, Palo Alto, South San Francisco, Newark, San Bruno and Pacifica. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 9 PM TUESDAY UNTIL 4 AM PDT WEDNESDAY... * WHAT...Minor coastal flooding expected at prone low lying coastal locations across the coast during peak high tide Tuesday night into Wednesday early morning. * WHERE...San Francisco, Coastal North Bay Including Point Reyes National Seashore, North Bay Interior Valleys, San Francisco Bay Shoreline, San Francisco Peninsula Coast, Northern Monterey Bay and Southern Monterey Bay and Big Sur Coast Counties. * WHEN...From 9 PM Tuesday until 4 AM PDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of low lying lots, parks, and roads along the coast with the highest high tides expected. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Storm surge up to 2 feet will raise tidal levels. Flooding is expected to affect areas similar to those that flood in King Tide events. The astronomical tide level is expected to peak at 12:42 AM on Wednesday. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If travel is required, allow extra time as some roads may be closed. Do not drive around barricades or through water of unknown depth. Take the necessary actions to protect flood-prone property. &&
