...FLASH FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM NOON UNTIL 10 PM TODAY FOR PORTIONS OF THE FRONT RANGE INCLUDING THE Cameron PEAK...EAST TROUBLESOME...AND CALWOOD BURN AREAS... This hazardous weather outlook is for northeast and north central Colorado. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight Expect scattered to widespread showers and thunderstorms across the mountains, foothills and western half of the plains this afternoon into this evening. Isolated coverage is expected over the northeast plains. Some areas can expect locally heavy rainfall, which could lead to flooding. The best chances for flooding will be over the alpine burned areas north of I-70, including the Cameron Peak, East Troublesome and Calwood burned areas. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected through the upcoming week, with the highest coverage focused in and near the mountains and foothills. Some of the storms will produce locally heavy rainfall and possible flooding. Flood prone locations, such as the burn areas, will be at the greatest risk for flash flooding. Gusty winds, small hail, and lightning will also be threats. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed today or tonight. However, any significant rainfall and flooding reports will be appreciated.
