This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for southern Connecticut and
southeast New York.
.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.
Please listen to NOAA Weather Radio or go to weather.gov on the
Internet for more information about the following hazards.
Dense Fog Advisory.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
The first widespread hot spell of the season is expected this
weekend, with heat indices well into the 90s away from the coast.
This will increase the risk of heat-related illness for vulnerable
populations.
With the heat expected this weekend, it`s important to keep in mind
that ocean, nearshore, and inland water temperatures remain cold, in
the 50s to around 60 degrees. Physical incapacitation and
hypothermia
are likely in as little as 10 minutes if you fall in the water,
greatly increasing the risk of drowning.
