HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK

THIS HAZARDOUS WEATHER OUTLOOK IS FOR EAST CENTRAL FLORIDA. .DAY ONE...TONIGHT. .THUNDERSTORM IMPACT... Showers and isolated lightning storms will be possible across the Treasure Coast counties and adjacent Atlantic waters as well as across parts of eastern Okeechobee county. Any storms that do develop will be capable of occasional cloud-to-ground lightning, gusty winds, and brief heavy rainfall. .MARINE THUNDERSTORM GUST IMPACT... Isolated lightning storms will be capable of producing cloud-to- water lightning strikes and wind gusts over 30 knots on inland lakes, the intracoastal waterway, and Atlantic waters along the Treasure Coast and across parts of east Okeechobee county. .RIP CURRENT IMPACT... A moderate risk of rip currents exists at all east central Florida beaches. .RIVER FLOOD IMPACT... The Saint Johns River at Astor is just above Action Stage, and is forecast to fall below Action stage on Wednesday. Forecast rainfall after midweek however, may slow the overall rate of decline late this week. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY. A moderate risk of dangerous rip currents will continue at all east central Florida Atlantic beaches through the remainder of the week. A return of scattered to numerous storms is forecast from mid to late week as moisture surges across the peninsula. A few stronger storms will be possible each day from Wednesday through Friday, with strong wind gusts, small hail, frequent lightning strikes and locally heavy rainfall being the main threats. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed tonight.
