This hazardous weather outlook is for South Florida.
Rip currents: A High Rip Current Risk is in effect for the Collier
County coast this evening.
Fire Weather: The combination of 20-foot winds of 10 to 15 mph and
minimum relative humidity of 25 to 35 percent will result in elevated
to near-critical fire-weather conditions today. Winds exceeding 15
mph resulting in critical fire-weather conditions will be possible
and a Fire Weather Watch is in effect, except for Coastal Collier
County where somewhat higher relative humidity is expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...THURSDAY THROUGH TUESDAY
The rip-current risk will increase tomorrow through the upcoming
weekend for the Atlantic beaches.
The potential for high surf will increase across the Palm Beaches
vicinity on Thursday.
Hazardous marine conditions can be expected over the Atlantic waters
through the remainder of this week as northeasterly swells build.
Locally elevated fire-weather conditions could affect interior
sections of South Florida during the afternoon hours on Thursday and
