This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of central Iowa. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight Isolated thunderstorm chances will continue today into tonight. Localized heavy rainfall will be the main concern, which may lead to ponding of water in low lying and poor drainage areas, especially in urban areas. Otherwise gusty winds, lightning and possibly small hail are expected with any developing storms. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday There will be continued chances for scattered thunderstorms through the rest of the week and into the weekend, with peak chances during the afternoon and evening hours. The overall severe risk is low but slow moving storms may result in localized ponding, especially in urban areas. Lightning, gusty winds are expected hazards otherwise, along with the chance for small hail. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not anticipated but rainfall reports are always appreciated.
