This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central Illinois...northwest Illinois...west central Illinois...east central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast Missouri. .DAY ONE...THIS AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT Isolated to scattered snow showers will move south across portions of the Outlook Area during the late afternoon and evening. The stronger showers may reduce visibility down to a few miles, and produce a quick dusting of snow accumulation. Rain or freezing rain may also mix in with the snow showers at times, possibly producing isolated slick spots this evening. Wind chills of 10 to 20 below zero are expected north of Interstate 80 late tonight and early Friday morning. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY There are signs that a storm system may bring snow or a wintry mix to the Midwest, close to or in portions of the Outlook Area during the middle part of next week. It is still too early to determine the exact track of the storm system and resultant amounts of precipitation that may occur. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation will not be needed this afternoon or tonight.
