This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of southwest Iowa...west central Iowa...east central Nebraska...northeast Nebraska and southeast Nebraska. .DAY ONE...Tonight and Friday There is a very small chance for a few isolated thunderstorms generally along and west of a line from Yankton to Columbus to Fairbury through sunset. Any storms that do develop could contain wind gusts up to 30-40 mph, pea size hail and a brief heavy downpour. On Friday morning, a thunderstorm complex is forecast to move southeast out of South Dakota and could continue to produce a few thunderstorms through the morning and afternoon hours across eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa. A few of these storms could be strong to severe, especially in the afternoon hours. Any severe storms that do develop would be capable of severe wind gusts and large hail. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday night through Thursday Scattered thunderstorm chances remain in the forecast through Saturday. Heavy rain is possible Saturday as a cold front pushes through the region. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Storm spotter activation is not anticipated.
