This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for east central Illinois and southeast Illinois. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through this evening. A few of the storms could be strong to severe, with gusty winds up to 60 mph possible. A tornado or two is also possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Scattered thunderstorms will continue through Friday, as a weather system slowly moves through the region. Some of the storms could be strong to severe with hail up to 1 inch and gusty winds up to 60 mph possible. Tornadoes are not expected at this time. Rainfall amounts of one half to 1.5 inches could cause ponding of low lying or poor drainage areas. Lingering flooding on the Little Wabash River near Clay City may linger for a few more days. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon and early evening.
