This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west central Illinois. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon through this evening. Some of the storms could be strong to severe with hail up to 1 inch and gusty winds up to 60 mph possible. A few, brief tornadoes are also possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Scattered thunderstorms will continue through Friday, as a weather system slowly moves through the region. Severe weather is not expected at this time, but rainfall amounts of one half to 1.5 inches could cause ponding of low lying or poor drainage areas. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed this afternoon into this evening.
