central Iowa...northeast Iowa...southeast Iowa and northeast
.DAY ONE...TODAY AND TONIGHT
A storm system moving across Iowa and Missouri tonight will spread
showers and thunderstorms across the area tonight. There is a
marginal risk of severe storms west of a Cedar Rapids to Macomb
line with a slight risk of severe storms west of a Keosauqua to
Kahoka Missouri line. The main threats will be lightning, hail and
damaging wind gusts.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY
For Thursday night, the Storm Prediction Center has a slight risk
of severe thunderstorms for areas northwest of the Cedar Rapids
metro, with a marginal risk extending south into much of eastern
Iowa and far northwest Illinois. At this time, the primary risks
from severe thunderstorms are damaging wind gusts and large hail.
Additional showers and thunderstorms are possible in northwest and
west central Illinois Friday evening. However, it is too early to
determine the severe risk.
