...Patchy Slick Spots Possible Sunday Morning...
As precipitation spreads across across the region during the
morning hours Sunday, a few hours of freezing rain will occur
across portions of southern Illinois, northwest Kentucky, and
southwest Indiana. This could lead to patchy slick spots
developing on bridges and other elevated roadways. The locations
most likely to see freezing rain are ares north of Highway 13 in
southern Illinois, southwest Indiana, and portions of northwest
Kentucky from Morganfield to Henderson to Owensboro. Temperatures
will rise above freezing by mid to late morning Sunday, allowing
the freezing rain to transition to rain.
If you are planning to travel Sunday morning, use extra caution
and check the latest weather forecast and road conditions
beforehand.
