This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for central Illinois and west central Illinois. .DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms are expected, with the best chances from late afternoon into early evening. A few of the storms may be strong or locally severe, with brief wind gusts to around 60 mph. A tornado or two is also possible. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Scattered thunderstorms will continue through Friday, as a weather system slowly moves through the region. Severe weather is not expected at this time, but rainfall amounts of one half to 1.5 inches could cause ponding of low lying or poor drainage areas. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation may be needed late this afternoon through early evening.
