This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a portion of eastern Kentucky. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Scattered thunderstorms will develop and affect much of the area from this afternoon through tonight. A few thunderstorms are expected to be capable of producing damaging winds through the evening hours and into the early morning hours, with a lesser threat for an isolated tornado or large hail. The greatest risk of severe weather will be for locations generally along and west of I-75. In addition, localized heavy rainfall could lead to instances of flooding this evening and tonight. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Thunderstorms will be possible Sunday morning. There remains a small chance for impactful winter weather, most notably over the mountains, Sunday afternoon into Sunday night as colder air arrives and switches any lingering precipitation over to snow. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotters are encouraged to report any instances of severe weather or flooding from this afternoon through tonight.
