WEATHER ALERT

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight
Thunderstorms are possible this evening. A few severe storms are
possible, mostly south of Highway 2, especially in northwest
Wisconsin. Large hail and damaging winds are the main threats
with storms, though a weak tornado is possible as well.
High water levels will continue in the Rainy River Basin over far
northern Minnesota, as well as around the Island Lake Reservoir
and areas downstream on the Cloquet River, especially around Side
Lake and Hunter Lake. A Flood Warning remains in effect for the
for the Rainy River Basin as well as the Island Lake Reservoir
and areas downstream on the Cloquet River. Minor flooding will
continue along the Mississippi River between Aitkin and Fort
Ripley in Crow Wing County where Flood Warnings are in effect.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday
Water levels will remain high across many of the Northland`s
rivers, creeks, and streams, especially in the Rainy River Basin,
Island Lake Reservoir, Cloquet River, and the Mississippi Basin.
Morning temperatures near or below freezing will be possible this
weekend, particularly along the International Border, and frost
headlines may be needed.
