This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northwest Iowa, west central
Iowa, southwest Minnesota, northeast Nebraska and southeast South
Dakota.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
A few weak showers or thunderstorms are possible overnight. While
severe weather is not expected, some of this activity may produce
brief gusty winds.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday.
Showers and thunderstorms return to the region this holiday weekend,
especially in the evening and overnight hours. Isolated strong to
severe storms Saturday night will be capable of producing hail up to
half dollar size, and possibly a few wind gusts of 50 to 60 mph.
Details for the remainder of the weekend remain uncertain. However,
additional rounds are severe weather are possible later Sunday, and
Monday night. Remain aware of the forecast and evolving severe
weather risks if you have outdoor plans this weekend.
