This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of northeast
Minnesota and northwest Wisconsin.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and Tonight
High water levels will continue in the Rainy River Basin over far
northern Minnesota, as well as around the Island Lake Reservoir
and areas downstream on the Cloquet River, especially around Side
Lake and Hunter Lake. Minor flooding will continue along the
Mississippi River between Aitkin and Fort Ripley in Crow Wing
County and near Scanlon along the St. Louis River where Flood
Warnings are in effect. A Flood Warning remains in effect for the
Island Lake Reservoir and areas downstream on the Cloquet River.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday
Water levels will remain high across many of the Northland`s
rivers, creeks, and streams, especially in the Rainy River Basin,
Island Lake Reservoir, Cloquet River, and the Mississippi Basin.
Strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible Wednesday
afternoon and evening across the area. Another round of strong to
severe thunderstorms is possible Thursday afternoon and evening
for northwest Wisconsin and portions of northeast Minnesota south
of the Iron Range. Potential hazards on both days include
damaging wind gusts, large hail, and heavy rainfall.
