This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight. Weather hazards expected... Limited hail risk. Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk. Elevated lightning risk. Limited excessive rainfall risk Elevated non thunderstorm wind risk. DISCUSSION... Strong south to southwest winds will occur today ahead of an approaching cold front. The strongest gusts of around 40 mph will occur this morning and mainly in counties along and west of Missouri Highway 13. Thunderstorms will begin to develop along the front late today after 3 pm and become more numerous tonight. Isolated strong to severe storms will be possible with one inch hail and 60 mph wind gusts. Rainfall may become heavy in some areas Friday night and excessive rain and flooding will become possible with the slow moving cold front. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. Showers and thunderstorms will continue to be possible with a limited/marginal risk for severe storms with a hail and wind gust risk. Another front will move northward from the Red River Valley into the Ozarks from Monday through Wednesday. Low pressure waves along the front will bring more showers and storms to the region at times. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
