This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.
.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.
Weather hazards expected...
Elevated hail risk.
Elevated thunderstorm wind damage risk.
Limited flooding risk.
Limited lightning risk.
There is the potential for a cluster of thunderstorms to track
east and southeast into the outlook area late tonight, especially
across portions of central Missouri. Additional widely scattered
thunderstorms will be possible late tonight along and east of a
Truman Lake to Springfield to Bull Shoals Lake line.
If these storms materialize late tonight, damaging straight line
winds, hail up to the size of half dollars, frequent lightning,
and locally heavy rainfall will be possible. This will include a
limited risk for flash flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.
Lingering storms may continue to pose a risk for localized
damaging winds, hail, and flash flooding Friday morning across
central Missouri and the eastern Ozarks.
Heat index values on Friday and Saturday afternoon will be around
100 degrees. Southerly wind gusts around 30 mph can also be
expected on Friday across western Missouri and southeastern
Additional showers and storms will again return to the area from
Saturday night into Monday. Heavy rainfall will be possible along
with at least a limited risk for flooding.
Limited chances for thunderstorms will then continue into next
Monday and Tuesday.

Spotter activation may be needed after 10 PM tonight across
primarily central Missouri.
