This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of central Mississippi, and south central Mississippi. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight FIRE WEATHER THREAT...Elevated TIMING...Today Today, open burning is discouraged due to a combination of continued critically dry conditions and low humidity. Please heed any local burn bans. (https://www.weather.gov/images/jan/graphicast/1.png) .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday There is an elevated concern for wildfires where open burning is discouraged due to lower humidity values and continued critically dry conditions for central to southern Mississippi, while limited concern for wildfires where extra caution is advised with open burning elsewhere across extreme southeast Arkansas, northeast Louisiana and portions of western, northern and eastern Mississippi Friday.
