...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 AM CDT SUNDAY...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of North Mississippi and West Tennessee,
including the following counties, in North Mississippi, Alcorn,
Benton, DeSoto, Marshall, Tate, Tippah, Tishomingo and Tunica. In
West Tennessee, Fayette, Hardeman, Hardin and McNairy.
* WHEN...Until 215 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1114 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Collierville, Corinth, Hernando, Senatobia, Holly Springs,
Savannah, Selmer, Big Hill Pond State Park, Pickwick Landing
State Park, Lamar, Adamsville, Coldwater, Byhalia, Tunica,
Snow Lake Shores, Canaan, Michigan City, Lagrange, Slayden
and Mt Pleasant.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
