In addition, a few strong thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. Wind gusts to 50 mph and frequent lightning will be the main hazards. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Monday. A prolonged stretch of dangerous afternoon heat index values between 104 and 109 degrees is expected through the weekend. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time.
