...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PORTIONS OF SOUTHEASTERN WARD, NORTHEASTERN MCLEAN AND SOUTHWEST MCHENRY COUNTIES THROUGH 400 PM CDT... At 331 PM CDT, strong thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 5 miles west of Butte to 6 miles west of Turtle Lake to near Riverdale. Movement was east at 20 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts to 50 mph and nickel size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Locations impacted include... Underwood, Turtle Lake, Max, Riverdale, Mercer, Coleharbor, Butte, Benedict, Ruso City, Ruso, Strawberry Lake, and Fort Stevenson State Park. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Very heavy rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
