This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for northern New York, central Vermont, northeast Vermont, northwest Vermont and southern Vermont. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. The threat for severe storms will exist this afternoon and evening as a strong cold front shifts through the region. The Storm Prediction Center maintains a slight risk for severe thunderstorms across the forecast area, with the main threat being damaging wind gusts, although isolated large hail is also possible. In addition, thunderstorms will also be capable of producing heavy rainfall in excess of 1 inch. Areas which received heavy rainfall over the past 2 days will be susceptible to flash flooding. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
