...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 3 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive
rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of southern Connecticut and southeast New York,
including the following counties, in southern Connecticut,
Fairfield and New Haven. In southeast New York, Westchester.
* WHEN...Until 300 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is
occurring or is imminent.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 137 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Bridgeport, New Haven, Stamford, Waterbury, Norwalk, Danbury,
Milford, Shelton, Naugatuck, Southbury, New Canaan, Wolcott,
Newtown, Fairfield, Hamden, Stratford, Trumbull, Cheshire,
Westport and Ridgefield.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
