...EXCESSIVE HEAT WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY AFTERNOON
THROUGH SATURDAY EVENING...
* HEAT INDEX VALUES...Near or above 105 due to temperatures in the
mid 90s and dewpoints in the mid 70s.
* TIMING...Friday afternoon into early evening, and again
Saturday afternoon into early evening.
* IMPACTS...Heat stroke, heat exhaustion and other heat related
illnesses will be possible, especially if you spend a
significant amount of time outdoors, or are involved in any
strenuous outdoor activity.
Make preparations for dangerous conditions in which heat
exhaustion or heat stroke are possible. Plan to spend more time
in air conditioned or well-ventilated places. If possible,
reschedule strenuous outdoor activities to early morning or
evening. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing and drink
plenty of water.
To reduce risk during outdoor work the Occupational Safety and
Health Administration recommends scheduling frequent rest breaks
in shaded or air conditioned environments. Anyone overcome by
heat should be moved to a cool and shaded location. Heat stroke
is an emergency, Call 911.

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for Northeast Kentucky, Northern
Kentucky, Central Ohio, South Central Ohio, Southwest Ohio and West
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
Locally heavy downpours could result in isolated instances of
flooding through early this evening, especially in urban areas, poor
drainage areas and along small creeks and streams.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

Excessive Heat Watch.
Heat indices will increase on Thursday into the 95 to 100 degree
range, and then rise more substantially toward 105 degrees on both
Friday and Saturday. With overnight lows only expected to fall into
the middle 70s, the cumulative impacts of the heat into the weekend
could be dangerous for those without access to air conditioning,
especially the elderly and very young children.
