This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Elevated. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...This Afternoon. DISCUSSION... Widely scattered thunderstorms are expected this afternoon into early evening across eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas, with the greatest storm coverage likely across far southeast Oklahoma. Organized severe weather is not expected, however, gusty winds, dangerous lightning, and brief heavy downpours will be possible. Storms that form will likely dissipate this evening with the loss of daytime heating. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. WEDNESDAY through SUNDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. MONDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Low thunderstorm chances will continue Wednesday, with the potential for more widespread storm coverage Thursday into Friday as a frontal boundary moves into the region.
