This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma...Mainly West of Highway 75. ONSET...This Afternoon. DISCUSSION... An isolated thunderstorm or two will become possible this afternoon, mainly west of Highway 75 in eastern Oklahoma along the leading edge of better moisture. Any storms will dissipate toward sunset with the loss of daytime heating. Severe weather is not expected, though any storms that do develop will pose a risk of gusty winds and heavy downpours. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Daily chances for thunderstorms will last through the week. Storm chances will mainly remain isolated to widely scattered, with many locations likely not seeing rain through the week. Better coverage of showers/storms looks to arrive late in the week, into next weekend when a storm system approaches the region from the west.
