This hazardous weather outlook is for portions of northern... western...central...and southern Oklahoma...and western north Texas. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight... .Thunderstorms... There is a risk of strong to severe thunderstorms tonight as a complex of thunderstorms moves into northwest Oklahoma and moves to the southeast. Damaging wind gusts and heavy rainfall are the primary hazards. .SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT STATEMENT... Storm spotter groups and emergency management personnel across should prepare for severe weather operations overnight into Saturday morning. .Air Quality... An Air Quality Alert will be in effect late Friday morning through Friday evening for the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area. The alert is for high concentrations of ozone. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday... .Thunderstorms... Thunderstorms will likely be ongoing across the area Saturday morning, which may intensify as they move toward the Red River late morning with a risk for severe weather. There is a low probability for additional development Saturday afternoon. However, if storms develop, they will have the risk to be strong to severe. Thunderstorm chances will return on Tuesday and Wednesday, including the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms.
