This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...This Evening and Tonight. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing...ending early this evening. HEAVY RAIN. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Western Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing. DISCUSSION... Scattered to numerous thunderstorms have developed across portions of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon. This activity is expected to continue into this evening, and will pose a limited severe wind and hail threat. In addition, locally heavy rainfall from these slow moving storms could yield some localized flooding. Storms will begin to weaken and decrease in areal coverage this evening. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. SUNDAY through FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Somewhat drier air moves into the area from the east on Sunday, with lower thunderstorm chances expected as compared to today, especially across northwest Arkansas. The atmosphere will continue to be moist and unstable enough to support low thunderstorm chances across the region each day through the end of next week.
