This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Elevated. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing...diminishing by late evening. DISCUSSION... Scattered thunderstorms are ongoing across far northwest Arkansas this afternoon with additional isolated storms further west across eastern Oklahoma. This general trend of isolated to scattered storms will continue through early evening before storm coverage and intensity begins to decrease by the late evening hours. The strongest storms will be capable of locally gusty winds and heavy downpours. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. WEDNESDAY through MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Friday and Saturday appear to feature the greatest coverage and potential for more widespread rains.
