This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...Remainder of this Afternoon and Tonight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Elevated. AREA...West of Highway 75 Northeast Oklahoma; Terrain of Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Ongoing...ending by early evening. DISCUSSION... Isolated to widely scattered storms will remain possible this afternoon across portions of eastern Oklahoma and western Arkansas, with the better coverage expected to be west of highway 75 in northeast Oklahoma and in the terrain of northwest Arkansas. Storms will likely die off with the loss of daytime heating this evening. Widely scattered showers, with an isolated thunderstorm or two, will be possible late tonight across eastern Oklahoma. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday. SATURDAY thru THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Storm coverage will become more widespread Saturday and to a lesser extent Sunday, with a very limited risk for severe weather and locally heavy rainfall.
