AREA...Western Osage and Pawnee Counties in Northeast Oklahoma. ONSET...Ongoing...Decreasing After Sunset. DISCUSSION... Warm temperatures and breezy southerly winds late this afternoon will continue limited fire weather concerns mainly across western Osage and Pawnee counties in northeast Oklahoma. Fire danger is expected to decrease after sunset as winds weaken and humidity values recover. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. TUESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...Heavy Rain Potential. THURSDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. FRIDAY...High Wind Potential. SATURDAY AND SUNDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Widespread rain and thunderstorm chances return late Tuesday evening through Thursday afternoon over eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas as a cold front moves through the region. Periods of heavy rainfall remain forecast with widespread rainfall totals between 1 and 3 inches, and localized rainfall totals approaching 5 inches by the time rain chances exit Thursday evening. These amounts could create localized flooding concerns. The threat for a few strong to severe storms will remain mostly limited through Thursday.
