This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Limited. AREA...Northeast Oklahoma...Generally along and north of Interstate 44. ONSET...Early Evening and again Overnight. DISCUSSION... A few showers and an isolated thunderstorm or two may approach eastern Oklahoma early this evening. Any activity that forms will dissipate with the loss of daytime heating. Overnight...a storm complex will move southeast out of western Kansas bringing a renewed threat of a storm or two by daybreak. Outside of lightning, gusty outflow winds and brief heavy downpours will be the main concerns. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday. MONDAY THROUGH SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Daily thunderstorm activity is expected from Memorial Day through the remainder of the week. Overall coverage of storms will initially be limited however deeper moisture is expected to return by midweek as weak northwest flow develop aloft. With increased instability and marginal shear, the potential for more scattered storms along with locally heavy rainfall and gusty outflow winds will exist Tuesday into Thursday.
