...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Oklahoma, including the following counties, Pittsburg and Pushmataha. * WHEN...Until 900 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 552 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Estimates between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. Scattered to numerous thunderstorms have developed across portions of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas this afternoon. This activity is expected to continue into this evening, and will pose a limited severe wind and hail threat. In addition, locally heavy rainfall from these slow moving storms could yield some localized flooding. Storms will begin to weaken and decrease in areal coverage this evening. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. SUNDAY through FRIDAY...Thunderstorm Potential.
