This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...This Evening and Tonight. SEVERE THUNDERSTORM. RISK...Limited. AREA...Mainly Eastern Oklahoma. ONSET...After 2 AM. DISCUSSION... Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop this evening to our west, with the activity tracking east and reaching parts of eastern Oklahoma late tonight and northwest Arkansas early Tuesday morning. Elevated instability will be sufficient for large hail with the strongest storms, mainly across eastern Oklahoma. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Local Spotter Activation May Be Needed. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday. TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY...Thunderstorm Potential...High Wind Potential. THURSDAY...High Wind Potential. FRIDAY AND SATURDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. SUNDAY...No Hazards. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Scattered thunderstorms are forecast to be ongoing Tuesday morning across parts of eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. By the afternoon hours thunderstorm chances are forecast mainly over far northwest Arkansas. A limited severe weather threat will be possible Tuesday across the region. Additional low thunderstorm chances will also exist across parts of northeast Oklahoma and far northwest Arkansas late Tuesday night and again Wednesday night as a frontal boundary remains in the vicinity of the Oklahoma/Kansas border. At the end of the week and into the upcoming weekend, another round of thunderstorm chances will be possible as another frontal boundary is forecast to push into the region.
