AREA...Northwest Arkansas and far Eastern Oklahoma. ONSET...This Evening. SIGNIFICANT WINDS. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Early Afternoon. FIRE WEATHER DANGER. RISK...Limited. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Early Afternoon. DISCUSSION... Gusty south winds will develop this afternoon ahead of an approaching cold front, with gusts between 20 and 30 miles per hour. This will promote a limited fire weather threat during the afternoon hours when minimum relative humidity values are the lowest. The chance of rain and isolated thunderstorms increases this evening into the early overnight hours mainly for far eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Storm coverage remains uncertain, but if storms can develop and sustain themselves, some storms may become marginally severe with quarter size hail and gusty winds.
