This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as
much of Eastern Oklahoma.
AREA... Northwest AR, East-Central and Southeast OK.
Isolated thunderstorms remain possible tonight across eastern and
southeastern Oklahoma as well as northwestern AR where a nonsevere
storm located in Benton county is currently moving eastward. The
best chance for thunderstorms will be in Choctaw county tonight
associated with a complex of storms moving generally ENE along and
south of the Red River. The latest radar imagery shows an uptick
in activity across southeastern OK that will be watched closely.
With that said, due to significant convective overturning from the
storms earlier, the overall severe threat is low but gusty winds
and hail remain possible.
As for east-central Oklahoma, there is a conditional probability
for strong to severe storms to form later tonight. The
ingredients for strong to severe storms will be in place including
a fast moving upper level short wave, remnant outflow boundaries, and
dew points in the lower 70s. Any storm that does form will have
the potential to be strong to severe with damaging wind gusts and
small hail being the main threats.
