This Outlook is for Northwest and West Central Arkansas as well as much of Eastern Oklahoma. .DAY ONE...Today and Tonight. THUNDERSTORMS WITH DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. RISK...Elevated. AREA...Eastern Oklahoma and Northwest Arkansas. ONSET...Early Afternoon. DISCUSSION... Scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop early this afternoon, with the greatest coverage during the mid to late afternoon across parts of southeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Severe weather is not expected, but the stronger storms could produce gusty winds and locally heavy downpours. Coverage will diminish early in the evening. SPOTTER AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT ACTION STATEMENT... Spotter Activation Not Expected. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. WEDNESDAY THROUGH MONDAY...Thunderstorm Potential. EXTENDED DISCUSSION... Daily thunderstorm chances will continue through the rest of the work week, the weekend and into early next week. Friday and Saturday look to feature the greatest coverage and potential for more widespread rains.
