This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
Hazardous weather is not expected at this time.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.
A dryline will set up near the Texas-New Mexico state line Monday
afternoon. Thunderstorms are expected to form along the dryline, most
likely after 3 PM. These storms are then expected to organize into a
system that will move to the east during the late afternoon and
evening hours. Especially early in the event, temperature, humidity,
and winds will be favorable enough to result in some storms becoming
strong to severe with large hail and damaging winds the main
threats. The greatest threat will generally be north and west of a
Plains to Levelland to Tulia line. Locally heavy rainfall will be
possible with the strongest storms.
Shower and thunderstorm chances will continue Tuesday and Wednesday. Some
storms could be strong to severe with locally heavy rainfall also possible.
