southwest Arkansas, north central Louisiana, northwest Louisiana,
southeast Oklahoma, east Texas and northeast Texas.
.DAY ONE...This afternoon and tonight.
No hazardous weather is expected.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.
An upper-level disturbance across central and east Texas ahead of a
cold front may generate a few strong to severe thunderstorms on
Friday night across portions of northeast Texas, southeast Oklahoma,
and southwest Arkansas. Hail and damaging winds will be the main
threats.
Additional thunderstorms are expected through the weekend as the
cold front gradually shifts south across the region and returns back
as a warm front. No widespread and organized threat of severe
weather is expected at this time, although some isolated strong to
severe thunderstorms with a hail and damaging wind threat cannot be
ruled out.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Activation of emergency management personnel, amateur radio
operators, and storm spotters will not be needed through tonight.
