WEATHER ALERT
Issue Date: 1043 PM CDT Mon May 23 2022
This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for South-Central Texas..
.DAY ONE...Tonight.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms may redevelop overnight across
South Central Texas. There remains a potential for a few strong to
perhaps severe storms, however, this is less certain than earlier
forecasts indicated. Hail and gusty winds are the main threats.
Locally heavy rains are also possible and may cause some minor
flooding.
.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Tuesday through Sunday.
It is becoming increasingly certain that a complex of showers and
thunderstorms will impact South Central Texas late Tuesday evening
into Wednesday morning. Some storms could become severe,
producing large hail and damaging wind gusts. There is also a low
chance for an isolated tornado or two. The complex of storms is
likely to bring pockets of locally heavy rainfall Tuesday night
into Wednesday morning, which could lead to localized flash
flooding of urban areas and small streams.
.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are encouraged to submit severe weather and rainfall reports
to the National Weather Service.
